Hi, I’m Ben.
I help businesses understand user needs and make products and services available to everyone.
My Approach
Results Driven
Like most researchers, I'm drawn to organizing — and then reorganizing — until things just work. I love building systems and processes, but I never lose sight of the bigger picture, keeping shared goals at the center even when I'm heads-down on something independent.
I do my best learning through hands-on work paired with real conversation — discussion, critique, and honest feedback are where I grow. My soft skills were sharpened through years of consulting, and my approach to leadership was shaped by running multidisciplinary teams, where giving trust and earning it carry equal weight.
Universal Design
Accessibility isn't a checklist for me — it's personal. That lived connection is what drives me to go beyond identifying problems and actually help fix them. Where I find the most meaning is in the space between research and engineering: translating findings into something developers can act on, and making sure accessibility insights don't stop at the research report. Good intentions don't ship features — collaboration does.

What Colleagues are Saying
"I hired Ben to join a newly formed UX team over five years ago and, as of the writing of this recommendation, have been working directly with him since. He is a thoughtful and seasoned professional who has added tremendous value to our organization. Ben has a deep well of knowledge, reaching across both UX research and design, and has always been willing to pitch in whenever needed on a wide variety of projects.
In additional to his strengths as an individual contributor, I find Ben to be a trustable voice of reason and I have often sought his opinion in both strategic and tactical matters. I sincerely appreciate the opportunity to have worked with him for as long as I have will always consider him a valued member of my professional community regardless of where the future takes us."
Dan Sloat, Manager at Fresenius Medical Care
"I had the opportunity to work with Ben when we were doing customer research to help support how we market and sell a new product/service at Analog Devices. I attended some of the interviews and noted how his gentle manner and objective communication led our interviewees to share so much more with us. He built trust and allowed the open communication to flow, while still keeping the interviews on target.
I was so impressed by his communication style, technique and knowledge that I asked him for recommendations to help our team learn more about UX principles, and the books he recommended were so useful for our team.”
Shannon Davis, Colleague at Analog Devices
